It has now been over a year since our move to Colorado. We are amazed by the beauty that surrounds us, but even more amazed by how much is left undiscovered. On Saturday we took off towards the Aspen area. We knew the weather would not be perfect, but we had to try and see the famed Maroon Bells regardless. We were not disappointed. What a majestic sight! The Maroon Bells are above 14,000 feet tall and we took a 4 mile hike to Cater Lake, an elevation of 10,000+. It was so refreshing to be outside amidst forests of Aspen and the beauty of the nearly untouched Earth. How great thou art!
