Christmas time was hectic but very enjoyable! Since we were heading to Washington state for Christmas and New Years, we decided to have Christmas a little early this year at home. The kids either didn't understand yet or were completely okay with it. Festivities began with making gifts for friends (including our famous fudge, of course) and singing while we delivered. The kids then wrote letters to Santa and excitedly placed them in the mail box. Our faux Christmas felt like the real deal and we enjoyed our time with just our little family!
We then ventured off on a very long drive to Seattle to see Odessa and her family (Jonathan's sister). Thanks to 5 hour energies through the night we made all 20 + hours without any problems. We picked up Cassandra and Nick (Jonathan's sister and husband) in Salt Lake along the way. It got down to -15 on our trip...so frigid!!!!

| The mountainside was so gorgeous at night...I just wanted to take a seat on the snow and enjoy the scenery, but we had to get back to the cars full of clamoring kids. What a great time we had skiing! |
