Curio Bay

We rented another holiday house on Curio Bay for a few days, a small community on the south tip of the south island where Hector Dolphins (smallest in world) swim alongside surfers and penguins waddle and hop through a huge Jurassic age petrified forrest that meets the sea. What an experience! We stayed in a little home right on the beach so we spend a lot of time there and relaxing while the boys jumped on the trampoline. What a life, eh?

The petrified forrest was amazing, especially since we were among the penguins!

So adorable!

The VW we WISH we were in and yes, Ethan decided to see what it felt like to slide down the old wooden railing naked!

A crab actually sliced Ethan's finger as he tried to innocently pick up sand knee deep in water.

Good bye Curio Bay!  We love you!!!!!
