Yesterday the boys and I headed out to go camping with some friends of ours. We got there around 2:30 and let the kids roll around in the dirt (literally) all afternoon. Our husbands arrived around 6:30, just in time for dinner. We made hamburgers, hot dogs and tin foil veggies while the guys went on a quick mountain bike ride. This area is well-known for its mountain biking trails. People come from all over the country to ride here. Everyone who camped here had their bikes and backpacks with them. They ride during the day and camp here at night. There is even a 38 mile loop that runs right by the campsite. So, after dinner we enjoyed some amazing s'mores and then headed home (bc Jonathan is on call today and tonight). We wished we could have slept overnight with our friends because the weather was perfect and the stars were gorgeous. Maybe next time.
