...it's one of those national parks we had heard great things about but never had the chance to explore it until now....and boy are we we glad we did! RMNP is located just northwest of Denver and is full of incredible wildlife, vegetation, and home to the head of the Colorado River. We stayed in the charming lakeside town of Grand Lake (definitely worth another visit!) on one end of the park and then in the YMCA near Estes Park on the other side. We all had a great time! The hikes were not as rustic as we were used to, since they have to accommodate for heavy foot traffic, but there were still beautiful. We would love to come back with snow on the mountains.

| We got up extra early and caught the sunrise on this beautiful lake...we then hiked to 3 more of them |
Rocky Mountain National Park is definitely worth a second look!
