The Catlins - Tautuku Bay

The beach was quite cold, but we learned our lesson from our last beach visit - no matter the temperature put shorts on the boys. Sure enough they were in the water before we could blink.

These are New Zealand native birds - "Oyster Catchers".  Their long deep-orange beeks are amazing.

Wow, I've seen some pretty beaches (we're living on Coast #3 in 3 years), but this one might win.
