It was a cold and windy evening at Nugget Point, but we were able to see e few yellow-eyed penguins come ashore form a long day at sea. They were cute, but so far away that zooming in on our pictures made them quite blurry. Rest assured there will be many more opportunities to capture pics of these interesting and funny waddling creatures. Seeing penguins in their natural element and habitat just reminds me how far south we really are. We most likely will never be further south in the world than we are now.
